CENACOLO MARIANO DELLA DIVINA MISERICORDIA
Founded by Deacon Bruno Podesta several years ago, the Italian Prayer Group meets every Tuesday evening in the church from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. We sing to our Blessed Mother Mary, we pray the Rosary and the Divine Mercy chaplet for the Church, the intentions of the Pope, for peace in the world and in families, for the conversions of those who do not yet know our Lord Jesus, for the sick and for the souls in Purgatory. We also spend a few moments in silent prayer and meditation of the Word of God. Every first Tuesday of the month we dedicate the evening to our Lady of the Rosary of the Shrine of Pompei (Italy). Twice a year, on May 8 and the first Sunday of October, a solemn Mass is celebrated in honour of our Lady of Pompei at 3 p.m., to which devotees from other parishes join in, to sing the rosary to our Lady and participate in the Eucharistic celebration.
