Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (SSVP) at All Saints Parish:
Our Parish runs a Society of St. Vincent de Paul program to support families and individuals in our catchment area who are in need. We provide gift cards from local large grocery stores/chains to help with groceries and other basic items. These gift cards are all donated by the Parishioners of All Saints’ Church during our annual Christmas Gift Card collection.
Our Neighbours in Need are asked to call our dedicated All Saints’ SSVP line for assistance: 416 244 3066 extension 6.
Please leave your name, address and telephone number. One of our Vincentians will get back to you as soon as possible. During busy times, this may take a day, but usually, we respond within the same day.
The SSVP program provides help with grocery gift cards when requested, and additionally during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. The only requirement is to live within our Parish boundaries. Please check our boundaries at https://allsaintset.archtoronto.org/en/contact-us/parish-information/
A chart of Local Food Banks is also attached below and available to be picked up in our church foyer. It is also posted outside in out bulletin board.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conference at All Saints’ Church was established in 1973. The Conference President from 1973 to 2022 was our dear Manny Poulo, who laid the groundwork for our current conference which was newly established in 2023.
Our current Vincentians are: Richard Bottoni, Franca Gallucci, Antoinette Mendocino, Ida Pilla, and Chris Poulo. Parishioners who would like an application package to become a Vincentian are invited to call our parish SSVP number and leave a message or simply approach any Vincentian.
Our second annual Bundle-Up Weekend will be held the weekend of Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12, 2026. Gently used clothing, textiles, linens, curtains, and bedding are always accepted. Shoes and boots are also accepted in any condition. Further details will be shared as we approach this date in 2026.
The Toronto Central SSVP website has been recently updated and is full of relevant information about our services. http://www.ssvp.on.ca/

Saint Vincent de Paul Society Toronto - History
Head Office - Toronto website http://www.ssvp.on.ca/
In 1833, Frederic Ozanam, and a group of students from the Sorbonne University were challenged to prove their faith in Christ through action, not just words. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul was formed when they took up this challenge and began to work with the desperately poor in Paris. Developing a simple system, they went in teams to the poor in their homes, in the streets, in the hospitals and the asylums. Adopting as their patron St. Vincent de Paul, a 16th century cleric renowned for his work with the poor, the Society arose from humble beginnings to become an international organization found in 130 countries with one million members.
Helping those in need is important and very worthwhile. The desire to help the poor and others in need is part of what calls and drives the Vincentian (the volunteer, lay member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul). The member also views this service as a way of acting on their faith and responding to God’s call to love God and our neighbour.
Mandate of the Stores Division
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Stores’ Division bears witness to our Christian faith through the solicitude and care of those who lack adequate clothing and furniture. We act as an intermediary between people who wish to donate and those in need.
“Service to the poor is the service of Christ himself.” Therefore the Society aspires to serve and become part of communities that are economically disadvantaged.
The Stores’ Division endeavors to integrate the benevolent assistance provided by Vincentians, local Parishes and community volunteers in meeting the needs of justice and charity in the community.
